Character Name: Soubi Agatsuma
Canon: Loveless
Username: metamorphiseme
AU/OC/Previous Game: N/A
Age: 20
Appearance: Soubi is tall (6'3") and built lean but not underweight. His long light blonde hair and blue-purple eyes make him look almost as pretty as a girl- but with an uncaring face. He tends to wear his hair down straight during the day and tie it up in a high ponytail when he is working on art. He is clean and neat with his things but occasionally dresses in strange fashions, including fur lined coats. For the most part though, he has dressed well fashioned with a pair of purple butterfly earrings. His neck is nearly always wrapped with white bandages, clean and neat as if he were wearing it as an accessory. Tall (6'3"), lean, with long light blonde hair. He has bandages wrapped around his neck and a pair of small purple butterfly earrings. His clothes and his figure match his graceful type of attacks and movements.
Cause of Death: Unknown to him.
Impact of Death: Soubi will not consider this to be a true death and with the manner of existence in Thusia (trading with the Gods), he will bid his time to return to the "real world" and Ritsuka. If pushed to consider the real possibility that he is dead, he will both be accepting and in denial- one because it is once again another role for him, and the other because it means he has failed to be there for Ritsuka. He cannot truly be dead because that means he will be leaving Ritsuka alone.

Character Info: Soubi was raised to be the perfect Fighter unit in the Loveless world, where fighting pairs use words and commands to battle one another. He has a quiet demeanor and tends to shy away from getting close to people not because of fear or embarrassment but because he doesn't care to make things complicated. His life is one full of roles that everyone tries to fit him in, like a square being squeezed into a tray of shapes. He is full of self-loathing and helplessness to break free of what he was created to be. He throws himself into what he was created (a tool) to counter the pain of his existence. At the same time, Seimei's time with him has made him even more dependent on being commanded because he is made to be manipulated. As Soubi says, "Pain is proof you are alive", yet separately states that, "I really hate pain. I'd tear my soul out if it could stop the pain." His dysfunctional background comes from conflicting roles. Bonds and pain fascinate him because it is a definition of himself that he can experience, a cutter who uses the pain and blood to realize he is alive still. For the most part, he lives in waiting, for a command, for an order, for company, for his Sacrifice, for someone to tell him what he should be.
Soubi was orphaned at six and sent to Seven Moons Academy to learn to be a Fighter. There, Ritsu his teacher installed Soubi's sense of complete selflessness into him as well as twisting his mind to learn how to obey. Their relationship was as much a twisted master and slave as it was teacher and pupil, with Ritsu using physicality against Soubi in more ways than one.
His second stage in life came when he was partnered with Seimei who carved his true name Beloved (for each fighting pair is tied by a name as well as their will) into Soubi's neck along with his absolute mastery over the older boy. As they two fought, that mastery and Soubi's growth as his obedient Fighter turned them into the strongest known. However, there was no love but only a master and a trained dog. Before Seimei suddenly disappeared in a staged murder, he ordered Soubi to find and love his little brother Ritsuka.
His third stage in life and one that has caused him the most turmoil comes with a small boy named Ritsuka, Seimei's younger brother. As Ritsuka tries to search for a truth that Soubi refuses to tell, Soubi's actions and way of thinking go completely against Ritsuka's more caring and pacifist nature. Even as Soubi proclaims his mind and body belong to Ritsuka, the bleeding name carved on his neck and Seimei's control over him makes it so even Soubi may not know who he truly belongs to.
Having been taught since childhood to be an object and tool for his Sacrifice, Soubi struggles with his own weaknesses and masochist inabilities under his superficial indifference. He cares for others even when his words may seem cruel and has genuinely come to love his new master. However, an object does not belong to oneself and Soubi cannot bring himself to step away from that role he's been taught. Yet internally, being something that may be easily replaced and disposed hurts him even more strongly. In general company though, Soubi can be social if a bit ...weird.
For someone whose personal life has such strong pillars, Soubi spends most of his time away from his Sacrifice. He spends his days at school and on his own. His interactions with others vary but such relationships do exist:
His best friend is Kio, who he hangs out with (sometimes forcibly) but genuinely cares for and let's himself be bullied by sometimes. When Kio is kidnapped, Soubi goes and rescues him.
The Zero boys were defeated by Soubi and with nowhere to go, taken in by him. He feeds them, takes cares of them, even bathes them and makes them go to bed. He shows brotherly concern in his actions by letting them stay with him. Soubi has an affinity for children, perhaps because he did not have a very kind childhood himself. He even befriends Ritsuka's classmate Yuiko, who spills her insecurities to him and in turn is comforted by him.
Ritsuka's teacher is an example of a casual acquaintance that Soubi interacts with. At first he only picked on her, mocking her ineffectiveness as a teacher and making her uncomfortable with innuendos. When she is kidnapped by the Zero boys though, he injures himself to rescue her although he claims it was not her her sake.
Hanabi is a doujinshi artist at his university who often asks him to help draw backgrounds for her BL comics. He never turns her down, even working all-nighters with her although he claims he will leave if he is "called". He expresses interest in her work and has an amicable relationship with her.
Old Game Info: N/A
Abilities (before Powercap): Soubi is an independent fighting unit because he and Ritsuka do not have matching true names- although Ritsuka is Loveless and Soubi bears the name Beloved, Soubi is actually a blank Fighter and is capable of taking on any name written on him. Fighting solo, or on "auto”, comes at a cost of half his powers. Damage also becomes rebounded on him as well as his Sacrifice. He is capable of fighting on his own though- an example is the Zero fight when he rescues Hitomi-sensei.
Soubi is a magical fighter. He has the ability to use words to create spell realities and as attacks. He's not weak and is physically capable of a fight, but more normal human leveled.
-Spell Battle: attack and defense modes where a virtual arena is summoned and used to create specific attacks. Verbal commands become physical realities. This means his spells are realized and defined by how eloquently he phrases the spell. The more complex and clearer the intent, the stronger the spell. The delivery of a spell also effects how strong the spell is executed. Rebounds and "damage" materializes as physical damage or restraint. Spells basically are as strong or weak as the imagination of the Fighter.
Personal Power up spell examples: "I am a weapon." Powers Soubi up so he performs stronger. "Nothing can get past me." Defense powerup.
Attack Power up spell example: "Absolute- A power unparalleled by any, cushing everything." Powers up the attack and strengthens it against defenses.
Attack Spell example: "Fire, Severe Fire, attack with absolute power- Perish." - A huge huge wave of flame comes, removes their restraints and restrains the Sacrifice in a full body bind, ending the fight.
Attack spell command examples: "Restrain/Split/Divide", "Secession", "Solidify", "Resolve", "Rip/tear".
-Spell words: The ability to use power ups on oneself as well as commands like "fly" or "burn". These powers are able to be used even outside a battle arena and do not drain Soubi. Examples include after the Breathless fight when Soubi uses his words to make the Breathless pair sleep and send them away somewhere safe. Another example is when Seimei wants to escape from the academy and commands Soubi to use his words to break and shatter a locked window for him to leave. Finally, he was told to use his powers to alter Hitomi-sensei's memories so she would forget that she had already met the Zero boys before. Commands can be as simple as "Go to sleep" (the person falls unconscious immediately) or "Shatter" (the windows are shattered open and unlocked). .
Abilities (after Powercap): Soubi's attacks and shields are much weaker. He lacks the ability to "power up" himself and will require a sacrifice to activate a battle arena for attacks.
-Spell Battle: Soubi's summonings are severely limited and he is unable to limit an arena. His ability to summon a battle arena will require a sacrifice to the gods. His attacks will only work in limited ranges. He will require a lot more attacks at a more complex level. Injuries and rebounds will take more damage on him.
-Spell words: His commands have very limited range and are much weaker. They are only simpler commands though and can be countered more easily. Using too many of them will weaken Soubi in Thusia.
Items Brought In: Lighter, cigarettes.

Soubi and Ritsuka speaks about fighting and love
Introduce yourself in a few sentences.
I'm 20 years old and an art student at the university. I am easy going. I paint and play games in my spare time and sometimes go shopping. I don't like to be bothered. I like the quiet. Ah, and I'm a smoker.
Describe yourself physically.
I am tall and healthy. I have blonde hair and glasses.
What was your childhood like?
I learned things and grew up. Anything else is a bit private, right?
Who is most important to you, and why?
Ritsuka is my master. I belong to him as a Fighter and I obey his every command. His words give reason for my existence.
What's your biggest pet peeve?
I don't like people with no sense of aesthetics. A sense of taste is important in how you see things.
Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist? Why?
A realist. Being an optimist or pessimist is just a label, it's not really how you will see things. In the end, just see things as they are.
Where, or how, did you learn your most important skills?
Painting? I guess I learned in school. I paint at home too but the studio is my favorite place.
If you're referring to fighting...well, there's school for that too.
Do you think world peace is possible?
Maybe. I don't really care.
Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I avoid conflicts, it's troublesome. If someone wants to argue, I would probably just leave.
What turns you on the most?
A nice body? I suppose it depends...
Anything else you'd like to say?
Not really..
